Focused Analytics Solutions Team (FAST)

Designed for MBA and master’s degree students, FAST cohort members align to two tracks:

• Data science track - Leverage a variety of analytical methods (machine learning, statistics, optimization, data engineering, etc.) to design and implement analytical solutions that will be deployed at scale across the firm.
• Analytics solutions track - Leverage a mix of consulting, project management, and user-centered design skills to lead the planning and execution of actionable data-driven insights, solutions, products, and services that drive business decisions and enhance customer experience at scale.

Key skills

We're looking for exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and communication skills; proven leadership, and an ability to collaborate across teams using a consultative approach. Awareness of data analytics and/or visualization techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau), as well as big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Cassandra, Amazon Web Services) is a plus.

Data science track

Knowledge of Python, SQL, and/or R, familiarity with big data technologies and the standard analytical tech stacks, and a passion for learning.

Analytics solutions track

Experience communicating effectively with diverse audiences across business and technology partners, consulting orientation with the ability to influence internal and external business partners, project management skills, and a passion for learning.

You will gain exposure to a variety of analytical techniques, lines of business, and types of data while supporting the management and implementation of end-to-end analytical solutions that will have an impact on our customers.

On-the-job experience

FAST team members partner firmwide to support the management and implementation of end-to-end analytics solutions to some of the organization’s most pressing and complex questions.

Training

Your time on FAST will begin with a month-long training curriculum aimed at providing you and your new colleagues with the foundational tools and support system required to transition to project work. Your development journey will continue throughout the program, with opportunities to expand your skillset through project work, mentorship, and structured training sessions.

Career progression

As you approach graduation from the program, you will work with our team to define the next step in your career—whether that is a role within the broader Data & Analytics organization or staying on FAST as an experienced member mentoring future classes while continuing to lead projects across the organization.
