  • Knowledge of machine learning/data science theory, techniques, and tools
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C++, Java, and/or C#
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with emphasis on problem-solving and research
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences

  • Quantitative Research (QR) – An expert quantitative modeling group and leader in financial engineering, data analytics, and portfolio management, this global team partners with traders, marketers, and risk managers across all products and regions.   • Systematic Trading - Create innovative solutions and strategies for the world's most competitive financial markets, delivering top-tier client experiences in trading and analytics. As part of the Automated Trading Strategies (ATS) group, you'll work on systematic trading across various markets, designing and implementing automated strategies.

The organization collaborates with data analytics, engineering, and product teams across all functions—from sales and trading to digital, operations, finance, and risk—and every line of business, from wholesale banking to retail. Their approach combines business knowledge with deep technical AI/ML expertise to build and deploy compatible, scalable solutions across the firm. The team has expertise in natural language processing, speech recognition, time series and reinforcement learning, and other machine learning specializations.

The AI Research program aims to explore and advance cutting-edge research in the fields of AI and machine learning, as well as related fields like cryptography, to develop solutions that are most impactful to the firm’s clients and businesses. Experts across multiple AI fields, the team engages in primary research that supports the firm’s research pillars, as well as pressing financial services issues. They also partner internally to accelerate the adoption of AI within the firm, and collaborate with leading faculty around the world on matters of mutual interest.

The Global Technology Applied Research team conducts research in cutting-edge emerging technologies, such as quantum computing and communication, cloud computing and networking, augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), pervasive and ubiquitous computing (Ubicomp), Internet of Things (IoT), security and privacy, computer vision, and edge computing.
