Supporting Community Development

We work to advance equity and inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community globally through philanthropic engagements, public stances and actions on relevant policy issues, and local community support.

$5 Million Commitment

In 2021, we committed $1 million to five nonprofit organizations to support their efforts to drive economic inclusion for LGBTQ+ youth, workforce and elder communities.

Our Public Stance

JPMorgan Chase opposes discrimination in any form, including homophobia and transphobia, and is committed to supporting LGBTQ+ rights across the globe.

Examples of our public statements:

Force for Good

Force for Good, part of our Tech for Social Good program, connects employee volunteers with hundreds of nonprofits around the world to build sustainable tech solutions to advance their missions.

Several projects have helped LGBTQ+ nonprofits, including:

Humsafar Trust

The Mumbai team built a digital jobs portal that automates processes and streamlines operations for Humsafar Trust, an LGBTQ+ rights nonprofit that provides the community with counseling, advocacy and health care.

Just Like Us

The London team made the school referral process more seamless and time efficient for Just Like Us, a nonprofit dedicated to making UK schools more inclusive places where LGBTQ+ young people can thrive.

Lambda Legal

The Jersey City team provided a suite of tech support to Lambda Legal, which works to achieve full recognition of the civil rights of the LGBTQ+ community and those living with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work.

ORAM (Organization for Refuge, Asylum and Migration)

The Scotland team assisted ORAM, which protects and empowers LGBTIQ asylum seekers and refugees globally, in mapping and redesigning its website to streamline its channel of resources and information.
