A version of the below note was shared with all employees globally.
We are devastated by the historic flooding and landslides triggered by the monsoon rains across much of Pakistan over the past weeks, leading to widespread loss of life, livelihoods and infrastructure. Our thoughts are with the people of Pakistan, those within the diaspora, and others who have been indirectly impacted.
To support relief and recovery efforts, JPMorganChase is making a philanthropic commitment totaling $500,000 to support the International Medical Corps and the World Food Programme. This contribution will support short- and long-term humanitarian relief efforts to meet the basic needs of individuals impacted by this extreme flooding.
To maximize our collective impact, the firm will also match employee donations dollar for dollar to select organizations.
During difficult times like these, the firm is committed to harnessing our resources help those in need.
