Last week’s catastrophic flooding and landslides in Nepal claimed many lives and caused widespread displacement and destruction. Rescue teams continue to search for those who remain unaccounted for as communities begin the difficult process of recovery. We extend our deepest sympathy to everyone coping with loss, uncertainty and the impacts of this devastating disaster.
To support relief efforts, JPMorganChase is making a philanthropic contribution of US$100,000 to help address immediate needs. JPMorganChase is also launching an employee match campaign and will match donations dollar-for-dollar to the American Red Cross to maximize our collective impact. The American Red Cross is working with the Nepal Red Cross to provide temporary shelter for displaced people and emergency aid.
