Shantanu Tata

Vice President, Center for Geopolitics

Shantanu Tata is Vice President for the JPMorganChase Center for Geopolitics and covers global trade and geoeconomic issues for the firm. He has over a decade of experience working on international economic policy and foreign policy in the U.S. government.

Before joining JPMorganChase, Mr. Tata served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy at the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR). At USTR, he was responsible for managing trade and investment initiatives in the Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America, and leading the policy development process for key international summits such as the G7, G20 and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

Earlier in his career, Mr. Tata was a Senior Policy Advisor to Representative Suzan DelBene, a member of the House Ways & Means Committee, and served as her primary advisor on trade, foreign policy, intelligence, and financial services, issues. Mr. Tata also served at USTR during the Obama Administration. Mr. Tata received a BA in Government from Hamilton College.
