Isabel Chandler

Isabel Chandler is an Associate for the Center for Geopolitics on the Security Affairs and Operations team. Her experience is in technology policy, supply chain security, and democracy promotion in former Soviet Union states.

Isabel was previously a national security technology policymaker at the U.S. Department of Commerce in the Bureau of Industry and Security. Prior to her service in the federal government, she worked as a federal contractor to reform and enhance the procurement process of raw materials for the U.S. Department of Defense. She began her career as an open-source researcher studying Russian information warfare while living in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Isabel majored in international politics and economics, as well as Russian studies, at Middlebury College. She speaks Russian.
