Inside the program

The Financial Advisor Development Track (FADT) engages and trains participants in matters that add value to our clients and our business. This summer internship is designed to deepen your investment knowledge and skills through hands-on experience and in-depth industry training. 

Valued qualities

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a passion for client service, an interest in financial advising, and a goal to pass the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials® (SIE®) exam and obtain a full suite of FINRA licenses.

Key skills

In addition to a well-rounded academic background, you should have excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, sound analytical skills, and a strong attention to detail.

Over the course of nine weeks, you’ll deepen your investment knowledge and skills through hands-on experience across the businesses in J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

On-the-job experience

You will observe calls between advisors and clients, contribute to projects with real business value, and provide feedback to senior leadership on topics that are impacting the field of advising today. You will learn the foundations of the investments offered by J.P. Morgan, and receive dedicated time to study for and take the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials® (SIE®) exam.

Training

You’ll benefit from training opportunities structured to enhance your business acumen, while further developing your professional and technical skills. You’ll be supported by an entire team, including a dedicated program manager, mentors, and senior leaders who are invested in your success.

Career progression

Successful completion of the summer internship may result in an offer of employment for the full-time Financial Advisor Development Track.
