Julia Backon:
Tech for Social Good has been around for over a decade. It was born out of the idea that nonprofits really need help with technology.
Anand Rajamani:
And the only way in which nonprofits can advance their missions is by leveraging technology.
Julia Backon:
Nonprofits don't often have the resources and funding to dedicate to tech, but we do. We have some of the best technology talent in the world who are really passionate about using their skills to give back. We thought, "Why not put them together?"
Tiffany Polk:
The sheer size of our tech organisation differentiates us. Those people have a skill set that can really make a huge difference.
Julia Backon:
Tech for Social Good really focuses on building tech capacity for organisations and also increasing access to tech experiences and education for the community. We have different programs, everything from hackathons with students to building and delivering tech for nonprofits. The common thread is that we are leveraging the talent of our technology organisation to make positive social change.
Scott Malinowski:
J.P. Morgan is one of the largest financial institutions in the world. We have expertise in so many different technologies, so we're really able to fill a gap, and we can help them so they can focus more on their mission and what's really important to them and the impact that they're making.
Lori Beer:
Beyond technical skills, we offer strategic thinking, working side by side in the community to turn ideas into impactful results.[exciting music]
Ameya Vanjari:
We are moving the unemployed youth of India to employment. JPMorganChase provided us the right talent and innovations. The opportunity space is immense.
Man:
There's no way we could have gotten this far without JPMorganChase.
Ezekiel Brooks:
With this data and technology, the use cases are virtually infinite.
Zoe:
When I walked into the room, I just honestly felt empowered, and I felt inspired by my mentors to continue out with my dreams.
Julia Backon:
Giving back is in the DNA of JPMorganChase. It's a part of who we are.
Anand Rajamani:
We're all about the communities in which we live and operate in.
Tiffany Polk:
This isn't something that we require. This is something we make available to our technologists, and they cannot get enough of it.
Martin Barrett:
You feel like you're actually making a long-term impact. You're almost, like, leaving a legacy behind.
Luka Philip:
I find such value being able to make something that really matters.
MK Ullah:
We touch people, communities, and the world at large. We make dreams possible for everyone, everywhere, every day.
Tiffany Polk:
Not only do we get to do the great things as a technologist every day, we are actually going to make the world a transformed and better place.
