Helping Envoy Advisory harness the power of AI to support Fair Chance Employment

January 9, 2026

With strategic consulting and partnerships for companies looking to open doors for candidates impacted by the justice system, Envoy Advisory is a catalyst for inclusive employment. This year, Envoy Advisory worked with JPMorganChase’s Force for Good team to further scale its impact through technology.

Envoy and JPMorganChase set out to enhance Envoy’s Fair Chance Navigator, a learning management system (LMS) designed to help employers implement Fair Chance Employment practices. The Navigator needed a way to embed videos, organize modules, manage PDFs and protect data, while remaining user-friendly and efficient.

Tech for Social Good employee volunteers stepped forward to help build the next iteration of the Fair Chance Navigator. The volunteers conducted discovery interviews with Envoy team members and LMS vendors, defined functional requirements such as asynchronous collaboration and progress tracking, and explored multiple technology paths—including established LMS platforms and low-code solutions.

The Tech for Social Good volunteers built a custom application that leveraged several AI tools and platforms. The process began with a discovery phase, followed by initial prototyping to quickly iterate on core concepts. After refining the solution, the team conducted thorough code reviews to ensure quality and reliability. Deployment was streamlined using a cloud platform for front-end hosting and a serverless provider for scalable back-end services. AI, coupled with the team’s deep technical expertise, played a pivotal role throughout—powering personalized learning experiences, abstracting technical complexity, enabling customization, and delivering key features within the program timeline, all without the need to build the entire front-end or back-end from scratch.

Amidst this transformative journey, the volunteers delivered a solution that will save Envoy staff 10 hours per week and increase platform reach by 50%. As JPMorganChase Tech for Social Good volunteers learned new technologies, they honed their collaboration skills and deepened their understanding of how tech can help organizations like Envoy Advisory make an impact.
