WHAT WE ARE DOING
We inherently believe that creating a diverse and inclusive environment is critical to our success. Positive and inclusive work environments also allow us to keep the talented people we hire. Employees who feel valued are highly motivated to deliver the best service to our customers, partners and fellow colleagues. Here are some of the ways we're making it happen:

INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP FROM THE TOP
The Diversity Advisory Council is comprised of senior leaders from across the firm and was created to align our diversity and business strategies, as well as to provide our initiatives with a foundation of leadership support and management accountability.

THE BLUEPRINT FOR DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
Our Blueprint for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion toolkit provides a practical roadmap to help managers understand how diversity, equity & inclusion can help them achieve their business goals.

HIRING WITH A FOCUS ON DIVERSITY
Building a great company begins with hiring and training the best people. To hire the most talented people, we cast a wide net when recruiting and we aggressively recruit candidates of all backgrounds.

DEVELOPING TALENT THROUGH OUR BLACK EXECUTIVE FORUM
JPMorgan Chase’s Black Executive Forum (BEF) is a global team of senior black leaders representing our different lines of business. Their mission is to help attract, retain, promote, mentor and sponsor junior black talent, support the development and advancement of talented black senior leaders at the firm, and recommend strategies that expand the talent pool and ensure greater focus for this community.

Members of the BEF actively engage and mentor summer interns before, during and after the internship period to help students build their professional network and navigate the firm, among other things. In 2014, leaders from the BEF launched an effort to expand and raise the level of focus on the black community with respect to sourcing, hiring, retention and development, onboarding, engagement and partnerships.

Thank you to Black Enterprise Magazine for recognizing our commitment to diversity. We will continue to promote an inclusive environment that encourages all employees to fulfill their potential, drive ongoing efforts to strengthen the firm’s culture, and build the firm’s diverse talent.
