ABOUT George Eckerd,
Financial Markets Research Lead

George Eckerd is the Research Lead for the Financial Markets research group in the JPMorgan Chase Institute. Prior to joining the Institute, George held positions in the New York Fed’s Markets Group and the Federal Reserve Board, where he focused on monetary policy implementation and analysis of the U.S. Treasury market. His public sector experience includes service as an international economist at the U.S. Treasury Department. George began his career at BlackRock, Inc. as a global research analyst covering merger arbitrage and other event-driven strategies on a portfolio management team. George is completing a PhD in economics at Georgetown University, with a focus on macroeconomics. He holds a Master in Public Affairs degree from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.
