New Orleans Service Corps

Bringing our international expertise to NOLA to help nonprofit partners grow.

New Orleans Service Corps

Our talented employees’ experience and insights are a valuable resource that we offer to many of our nonprofit partners around the world. In New Orleans, for example, we have committed $36 million in philanthropic capital to support nonprofits throughout the state since 2005, but in May, we are sending 16 of our employees, from three countries, to New Orleans for three weeks to help our partners address their most pressing challenges.

“These intense skills-based volunteer programs give our employees a chance to stretch and build their core problem solving skills in a different environment and allow us to help to address important challenges faced by our nonprofit partners.”

Karen Keogh

Head of Global Philanthropy

The New Orleans Service Corps has matched top-performing JPMorgan Chase employees with the New Orleans Business Alliance, Liberty’s Kitchen, EMPLOY and the BioInnovation Center based on the organizations’ identified needs and the employee skill sets. The team, which is comprised of members from the United States, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom, will work with these local nonprofits to help create solutions to crucial issues facing the city such as workforce development, access to opportunity and support for entrepreneurs.

Since 2013, we have fielded 64 employees on five different Service Corps teams including Mumbai, India, Johannesburg, South Africa and Detroit.
