A New World-Class Campus Comes to Dallas-Fort Worth
JPMorgan Chase’s new employee hub in North Texas has amenities for wellness, technology and fun.
JPMorgan Chase’s new world-class campus at Legacy West in Plano reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the vibrant and growing Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) market, where it has been a strong community partner for more than 100 years. Currently home to about 4,500 employees, the campus is expected to grow to 6,500 employees by the end of 2019.
The Plano campus is where roughly half of our DFW employees will work by the end of this year and has been celebrated for its amenities including its health and wellness center, backup childcare center, Starbucks café, Chase bank branch, tech support desk (for employees’ personal tablets and smart phones), and recreational offerings including a bowling alley, arcade, meditation space and a wide-array of affordable dining options – including Texas barbecue smoked on-site.
Of those extensive amenities, one of the most revered is the backup childcare center, which provides ample spaces for learning, laughing and play.
“It is vital to support working parents, especially during those hectic early years,” said Steve Hemperly, site manager for the Plano campus. “Child care emergencies are bound to come up, and that’s why JPMorgan Chase made it a priority to build a top-of-the line back-up child care center at our new Plano campus. It lets our employees know that we support them, and it helps our business as well.”
Texas is home to more than 24,000 employees, the second largest employee presence in the country, and North Texas boasts more than 215 branches, serving over 3.4 million consumer customers and 272,000 businesses.
“We serve real estate, corporations, middle-market companies, growth companies, technology companies— we bank just about everything there is,” CEO Jamie Dimon spoke on our presence in Texas. “The breadth and scope is enormous.”
The new campus is part of the $3.2 billion Legacy West development that is also home to Toyota and Liberty Mutual Insurance. The 250-acre project includes an urban village with 380,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, a 300-room Renaissance hotel, hundreds of apartments, and 365,000 square feet of office space along the west side of the Dallas North Tollway at Legacy Drive in Plano.
JPMorgan Chase’s new space makes it easier for employees to collaborate and provide outstanding service to customers and clients around the world. It has also reduced JPMorgan Chase’s real estate operating costs in Dallas-Fort Worth, creating an opportunity to reinvest in state of the art facilities and work environments that employees need and deserve.
