New Texas Campus: Joining the Legacy West Real Estate Project
Our new employee hub in North Texas will join the Legacy West real estate project—one of the largest job centers in the United States.
The Legacy West real estate project in Texas will be one of the largest new job centers in the nation. Our new 1 million square-foot campus, situated within the real estate project will house almost 6,000 of our employees.
Currently, we have 242 branches in North Texas and will continue expanding with wealth management business and adding mortgage and small business loan officers in the region. “We serve real estate, corporations, middle-market companies, growth companies, technology companies … we bank just about everything there is,” CEO Jamie Dimon spoke on our presence in Texas. “The breadth and scope is enormous.”
Our new campus is part of the $3.2 billion Legacy West development that will also be home to Toyota and Liberty Mutual Insurance. The 250-acre project includes an urban village with 380,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space; a 300-room Renaissance hotel; hundreds of apartments; and 365,000 square feet of office space along the west side of the Dallas North Tollway at Legacy Drive, in the northern suburb of Plano, Texas.
Our new campus will make it easier for our employees to collaborate in providing outstanding service and solutions to customers and clients around the world. It will also reduce the company's real estate operating costs in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, savings we'll reinvest in our strategic campuses to provide the facilities, work environment and accommodations our employees need and deserve.
Within two years, more than 16,000 people will be working in the Legacy West project, making it one of the largest new job centers in the state. The start of the project is a “great milestone,” said Legacy West developer Fehmi Karahan. “By the end of 2017, you will see a totally different skyline. Legacy West has exceeded everybody’s expectations and our wildest dreams.”
