PrintBelow is a small sample of the many philanthropic organizations and causes J.P. Morgan is involved with and supports. Our ongoing engagement in these types of efforts enriches our culture as well as the experience for our employees.
CRISIS: A national U.K. charity that helps homeless people rebuild their social and practical skills, join the world of work, reintegrate into society and live independently. J.P. Morgan has worked with CRISIS since 1997 with funding for a CRISIS holiday card scheme and with their volunteering program. Building on this relationship, J.P. Morgan became the first corporate partner to support the 'Urban Village Project', a pioneering solution to homelessness, with a donation of $300,000.
Good Venture: J.P. Morgan Investment Bank's socially responsible case competition where students select, analyze and champion a non-profit organization. The winning team receives $25,000 for their organization, and each finalist team receives a contribution to its cause. Teams gain practical experience in reviewing an organization's financial statements and putting together a business case.
J.P. Morgan Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Volunteering Program: This program offers volunteering opportunities to both JPMorgan business-led groups and individual employees. With a J.P. Morgan donated grant and liaising directly with the charity, employees manage their event, which can range from running skills sessions for unemployed teenagers, hosting tea parties for the elderly, to painting and refurbishing new homes for the homeless.
Korean Welfare Organisation: This organization assists underprivileged children. J.P. Morgan helped sponsor the organization’s "Three Cheers Program," which ensures children brought up by parents or guardians that depend on welfare have access to extra-curricular learning opportunities and guidance on preparing for exams and counseling. It also provides lunch during school holidays.
Robin Hood Foundation: Founded by some of the top business leaders in New York, Robin Hood targets poverty in New York City through venture funding and partners with the best community-based groups to maximize results. In addition to funding, Robin Helps identifies and matches individuals to serve on the Boards of the community organizations with whom the Foundation partners. J.P. Morgan has supported the Robin Hood Foundation through a $150,000 grant and by sponsoring Robin Hood board recruitment drives at the firm’s headquarters in New York City.
