Our Community

Arts & Culture

Below is a small sample of the many philanthropic organizations and causes J.P. Morgan supports. Our ongoing engagement in these types of efforts enriches our culture as well as the experience for our employees.

Art of Learning: J.P. Morgan partners with innovative arts organizations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including the South Bank Centre, Royal Opera House and Young Vic to unite the firm's continuing commitment to the arts and support of revitalization of local communities.

Asian Civilisations Museum, Singapore: J.P. Morgan made a donation to help the Asian Civilisations Museum in Singapore build two ACE Zones (Asian Civilisations Education Zones), interactive learning areas for children. JPMorgan has supported the ACM for several years, and the ACM is also the beneficiary of the Singapore JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge.

Collected Visions: Modern and Contemporary Works from the JPMorgan Chase Art Collection: J.P. Morgan partnered with the Dubai International Financial Centre to present master artworks from the firm's collection as a special exhibition. Collected Visions featured 70 modern and contemporary works by leading artists of the 20th century.  The exhibition was on view from March to May 2008 in the Emperor's Hall.  It marked the first time that J.P. Morgan has organized a survey of its modern and contemporary collection in the Middle East.

Jewish Museum in Berlin, Germany: The Jewish Museum is recognized as a pre-eminent cultural institution and strives to build relationships between different cultural and ethnic groups.  Supported by a $100,000 grant from J.P. Morgan, the museum will now be able to provide space for the cultural program and further develop the museum’s educational impact in the community.

JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge® Series: The JPMorgan Corporate Challenge is the world's largest corporate road race series and year on year, it is growing. In 2007, the series hosted over 200,000 runners in 12 cities across six countries on five continents. While J.P. Morgan's primary objective is to promote fitness in the workplace, a number of non-profit organizations benefit. From each race entry fee, from every race in the series, a donation is made to a non-profit organization, chosen by the local city.  As part of its 2008 theme, “Teaming Up for a Greener Tomorrow.” the program is incorporating innovative recycling and eco-friendly vendors .

New National Theatre, Tokyo: The New National Theatre Tokyo (NNTT) is the first national theatre of western performing arts in Japan. The NNTT aims to further develop performing arts by producing and performing a variety of non-Japanese plays, modern dance, musicals, ballets and operas.
