College recruiting
To help us find talented individuals for open positions in the firm, JPMorgan
Chase has formal relationships with colleges and programs to source college
and MBA students from diverse groups.
Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)
We have formal recruiting relationships with:
- Chicago State University, Chicago
- Florida A&M University, Tallahassee
- Howard University, Washington, D.C.
- Morehouse College, Atlanta
- Spelman College, Atlanta
For each school, the firm has a corporate team dedicated to creating a
visible presence on campus and to developing strong relationships with
students interested in business careers.
INROADS
In the U.S., JPMorgan Chase works with the New York and Tampa chapters
of INROADS to source candidates for internships. The program offers paid
summer internships for students of color who are interested in a career
in financial services. Internships last for 10 weeks in each location
and provide an opportunity for students to acquire work experience while
developing important business skills. Upon successful completion of the
internships, top seniors have an opportunity for full-time employment.
Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO)
In the U.S. and the U.K. we work with SEO to place outstanding students
of color in summer intern positions. The program is open to students who
will be seniors in the following fall semester. Interns are hired to work
in a specific business group for 10 weeks during the summer. Through its
career program, SEO introduces talented undergraduates to the financial
services industry and provides the opportunity to explore challenging
and rewarding careers.
UNCF Corporate Scholars Program
The corporate scholar program was established in 2001 in association with
UNCF to increase minority student interest in the Bank and expand the
company's pool of prospective minority employees. Since its inception
70% of the graduating scholars have accepted full time employment with
the company. Interns participate in a 10 - 12 week program at designated
locations throughout the company. Upon successful completion of the internship,
students receive up to a $10,000 scholarship to cover school expenses.
The Consortium
The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management is a group of 14 graduate
schools of business dedicated to providing opportunities in management
education to African-Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans
seeking business careers. JPMorgan Chase works with the Consortium to
attract and hire members.
The Robert A. Toigo Foundation
The Toigo Foundation is dedicated to increasing the number of African-American,
Hispanic American and Asian-Americans in the wholesale financial services
arena. It does this by providing financial assistance, mentoring and summer
internships and job placement services to the top minority candidates
in business schools around the country. JPMorgan Chase works with the
Toigo Foundation by providing mentors and career opportunities to Toigo
students.
Throughout the year, JPMorgan Chase also sponsors and participates in
a variety of recruiting events and job fairs that target candidates from
diverse backgrounds. For example, in the U.K. we sponsor the Banking Diversity
Fair, which targets students from diverse backgrounds interested in a
career in the financial services industry. The Women in the City Fair
targets women seeking financial careers.
