Highlights of the JPMorgan Chase Supplier Diversity experience include:

In-house matchmakers/trade shows
Since 1998, our customized in-house matchmakers/trade shows have:

  • provided prospective suppliers with an overview of how to do business with JPMorgan Chase and our prime suppliers across multiple product and service groups
  • facilitated procurement-led interviews with high-potential suppliers
  • led to the awarding of contracts or developmental relationships that subsequently flourished

These events, customized to the specific upcoming needs of procurement professionals, enable buyers and prime suppliers to interview diverse suppliers for direct and subcontracting opportunities. Events take place in the local markets closest to where decision makers reside.

Virtual Matchmaker/Trade Shows
In 2001, we pioneered the use of virtual technologies to augment our in-house matchmaker/trade show experience. Suppliers avoid the need to travel as with physical in-house events. The Virtual Matchmaker/Trade Show bridges the gap between buyers and sellers by providing an easy-to-use, point-and-click method of connecting buyers and suppliers. Same-time/different place technology has eliminated travel cost and time away from the office for suppliers and lowered their costs for sales and marketing expenses.

Second-tier workshops
We periodically host industry-specific and multi-industry workshops for prime suppliers to engage them in subcontracting strategies for diverse suppliers. The events are followed by a networking reception with diverse suppliers in the Supplier Diversity Network.

Connections events
We host after-work networking receptions to further build relationships between members of the SDN (both active and non-active contractors) and our internal decision makers.

Advanced management seminars
The SDN offers a variety of seminars designed to strengthen business management skills. Training is provided in areas such as finance, strategic planning, marketing and the efficient use of technology. The seminars are conducted by minority and women business entrepreneurs registered in the SDN, JPMorgan Chase bankers and other professionals.
